Expertus has an immediate opening for a Sales Development Representative (SDR). Primary responsibility is to assist regional sales managers in achieving new account acquisition. The SDR will act as an initial point of contact to prospects who in the market for a Learning Management System. The SDR will conduct high-level conversations with learning and development leaders about their business and learning initiatives.

The position has advancement potential within the sales organization and the compensation package includes an uncapped bonus structure. Ideal candidates will have experience in B2B sales and have a working knowledge of the software sales process. Responsibilities:

  • Identify sales-ready opportunities for regional sales managers
  • Strategize with sales managers to develop and cultivate geographic territories
  • Work with qualified prospects to arrange meetings with appropriate sales manager
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects
  • Log/update sales activity – meeting notes, next steps and opportunities
  • Send targeted messaging along with appropriate marketing information
  • Provide process improvement input to sales management

Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree
  • 2-3 years sales experience, ideally B2B sales at a software company
  • Knowledge of learning and development market a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying time constraints
  • Salesforce CRM experience
